Pig Out Inn Natchez

While in port in Natchez Mississippi my cruise director partner and our shuttle driver decided to have lunch in town. Luckily our boat docks close where there several restaurants to choose from.

On this particular day we chose the Pig Out Inn, a casual BBQ spot with delicious food, huge portions, and adorable décor.

The menu is your typical BBQ fare with various portion sizes. They have sandwiches for lunch, 1/4 pound of meat, dinner plates, 1/2 pound, or you can buy meat by the pound. I decided on the sandwich portion sans the bread to make it gluten free.

They also had various sides to choose from. The gluten free options included baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, black bean & corn salad, corn on the cob, and potato chips.

I ordered my food at the counter and they called my name when it was time to pick-up my food.

We got our food and sat down at one of the more interesting decorations I've ever seen in a restaurant. He was a scary looking hog and I decided to call him Herbert.

The food was delicious and I was more than satisfied with my portion. It's a great spot to check out if you're ever in Natchez.
